All began in 1987. At that time I, Denise, was a small child and on TV was a children’s movie. where the protagonist was a fantastic red Persian called “Giuliano”. It was with this film in mind that we chose our cat, and so, arrived our first Persian cat; she wasn’t a championship cat. but just our fabulous kitty. Afterwards, we contacted a cattery near us because we wanted to give” Sissi” a brother with whom to play. This was the “del MIO SOGNO” cattery, owned by Mrs. Wilma Conrieri, and we found the true Giuliano cat. GLAD LOVE di MENEFTHA (or Giuliano), has catapulted me and my mum in this fabulous world! After 20 years we remember with much affection Wilma, and we still thank her for all her advice. For personal reasons, we decided to separate from this fabulous cat, but after a few years the desire to live with cats returned. This is how MAMIWATA Cattery was born… we listened to our hearts and let ourselves be overwhelmed by this fantastic passion!!!

Mamiwata is a very small cattery, because we want our cats to live free and happy. In fact we don’t have cages. They are really part of our family!!! Moreover our cats are FIV FELV and PKD dna negative.
